Agogo Animation (formerly known as Animation Services (HK) Ltd.) is an animation studio located in Hong Kong, China founded in 1990.[1] Its library of works mostly consists of animated series for France, with some Canadian clients such as Cookie Jar Entertainment, who commissioned the HongKongese studio to animate four more seasons of Arthur which was previously animated since the first season by another overseas company and production company, AKOM Productions.

Work on Arthur[]

  • Seasons 12 through 15 including the initial release of "The Great MacGrady."
  • The reanimated widescreen intro used from season 16 through season 25.

  • Some visual elements of Arthur became noticeably different with the changing animation studios:
    • Shading on backgrounds and foreground objects are used less often.
    • Backgrounds are now brighter which is a product of them being digitally painted.
    • Camera zoom ins and outs are used less often.
  • Agogo Animation is:
    • The first animation studio that did not provide animation services for a one-hour Arthur special.
    • The first animation studio to animate Arthur in the 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, although U.S. airings are cropped to 4:3.
    • The first studio to animate Arthur under the Cookie Jar Entertainment rebrand.
    • The last animation studio to animate Arthur traditionally.
    • The last studio to be commissioned by Cookie Jar Entertainment in its partnership with WGBH for Arthur. Starting with Season 16, 9 Story Media Group would be WGBH's new co-production and distribution partner.
