"All Thumbs" is the first half of the fifth episode in the seventeenth season of Arthur.

Summary

When Arthur catches Buster sucking his thumb, Buster worries that Arthur will tell the entire school. Can Arthur stay mum? Or is this secret just too juicy not to share?[4]

Plot

Arthur comes to Buster's for a movie, but when he gets there, he sees Buster sucking his thumb.

-All Thumbs-

Arthur leaves, with Buster worried. He imagines Arthur coming to his house, where he tells his parents about Buster sucking his thumb, then his parents tell all the parents. He sends Arthur an email saying it wasn't a big deal. Arthur has a fantasy where people think he's weird for hanging out with Buster, who sucks his thumb.

The next day when Buster comes to see him, he runs. Later at the cafeteria, Arthur and Francine sit with Muffy, Sue Ellen, Brain, and Binky, who ask why Buster didn't sit with them. Buster tries to listen, but falls out of his seat. Later at class, Francine passed a note to Arthur during George's report. After school, Arthur tries to talk with Buster, who runs away. Muffy and Francine follow, and Francine hears.

Francine comes to Buster, and gives him something, which makes your thumbs taste bad. She proceeds to tell him that she sucks her thumb sometimes, too. Later, Buster comes and tells Arthur that he has stopped, and the two become best friends again.
