Archie Vanderloo is a colleague of Rattles' mother. In the episode "Whip. Mix. Blend", it was revealed that they may later marry.
Rattles tells the Tough Customers, that his mom and Archie started dating six months before the events of "Whip. Mix. Blend." He says that Archie is smart and has traveled all over the world. The only thing that Rattles doesn't like about Archie is his fancy cooking.
Archie lives in a house with his two children, the nine-year-old twins Ansel and Angie, both of whom quickly grow fond of Rattles, despite having different interests.
