Arthur's Pet Business is the fourteenth book in the Arthur Adventure series. It was written and illustrated by Marc Brown and published by Little, Brown and Company on October 1, 1990. It became adapted into the TV series as the first half of episode 5 of Season 1 with the same title.

- The Read family car bears a license plate reading 11-25-46. November 25, 1946 is the birth date of Marc Brown.
- Arthur's dog Pal is introduced along with the other two puppies that Mrs. Wood's dog Perky gave birth to in the end. Although Arthur adopted Pal, Pal was not seen again or given a name until in Arthur's New Puppy that was published three years later.
- This is the first Arthur book to be published in the 1990s decade.
