In "Arthur's Spelling Trubble", Arthur poses the question as to whether people get nervous when they know they have to do something really important to them. To demonstrate this question, a fantasy type sequence is shown of Arthur as Benjamin Franklin flying a kite with a key on it in order to discover electricity. Francine, who is apparently his wife, Deborah Read Franklin, tries to stop him.
In "Kids are from Earth, Parents are from Pluto", Brain makes his dad write an essay on Benjamin Franklin to prepare him for Parents' Open House Night.
Franklin's name is on one of the eggs in "Brain's Brain".
