Sue Ellen mistaken Betsy Johnson as the Ghost of the Crown City Star, but she is soon revealed as a passenger on the train who is very kind.

Betsy is a cat with a light crème completion. She has wavy gray hair, which used to be a caramel brown. Her current appearance includes her wearing a flowery hat, pink sweater, tan cover-up, khaki pants. She is shown holding green and peach pink decorated purse. She is portrayed as an older-aged woman. She is around the age of 69 to her early 70's. She was stated as eight in the 1930's. Betsy is playful, outgoing, kind, creative, and wise. She always carries salt water taffy with her.
