I am proud to say that I made my 300th edit on Arthur's First Day/Transcript. This has been a fun wiki, and the wiki that I'm most active on.
Hey there, everybody! This is Arthur Read fan, an administrator of this here wiki. I have decided to do a review on an Arthur special that recently premiered, entitled "Arthur's First Day." Now, the title of my review may be a bit of a spoiler as to what my thoughts are on this special overall, but I will explaining in this review just how "Arthur's First Day" is a major disappointment.
Disclaimer: This is solely my opinion. If you happen to like this special, that's completely fine and I respect your opinion. But please respect my opinion as well.
With that out of the way, let's begin.
So, what is this special about? Well, it's about Arthur and his friends/classmates finally moving into the 4th grade after being in 3rd grade for so long. At the…
"On August 20th, a digital short about voting will premiere, in which Arthur’s elementary school is voting on a new mascot, and Francine, Buster and Binky learn about the importance of respectful debate and relying on facts."
"On Labor Day, a digital short about back to school will premiere."
The last digital short to be released was "Wearing a Mask!" in September, so it looks like there will be another wave of them.
What's interesting about the voting short is that an activity on the PBS Kids website is planned for it, where users will be able to vote on the mascot themselves. I wonder if this will inf…
Hey there, everyone! It's been quite some time since I last made one of these user blog posts, so I figured I would make one.
What I would like to talk about (and obviously will talk about) in this blog is the upcoming Arthur special, entitled "Arthur's First Day." Since I found out what this special's plot is going to be about, I'm just going to come right out and say this: I'm not looking forward to "Arthur's First Day." Why is that, some of you may be asking? Well, let me explain.
To start things off, here's the brief summary, AKA the basic synopsis overview, provided courtesy of the website of NHPBS, my local PBS station (which you can read here):
"It's finally the first day of fourth grade and Arthur couldn't be more excited - until he lea…
So, since I was bored, here's a list of some of my favourite Arthur episodes! Some I have a lot to talk about, while some I don't.

- 3 3. Elwood City Turns 100!
- 4 4. And Now Let's Talk To Some Kids
- 5 5. The Secret Origin Of Supernova
- 6 6. Arthur And The Big Riddle
- 7 7. Arthur's Almost Live Not Real Music Festival

- 12 12. Arthur Meets Mister Rogers/That's A Baby Show!
- 13 13. Tales of
Grotesquely Grim Bunny
- 13.1 ...And that's the end of the list! Remember that this is all my opinion, if you don't like any of these episodes, I respect you're opinion.
Even though I cannot really tell which one is suppose to be the side-plot…
I'd like to officially resign from being an admin because while I still love Arthur and I still think there's a lot of outstanding people here I've got to talk to, the era I was part of is dead, and Arthur itself has pretty much come to end, so coming here knowing the people I used to talk to quite a lot have all moved on (CJ, Orion, 5000, and Jushy), just breaks my heart. (Also, I've been finding it really hard to be active here and make contributions.)
Even if we all still like Arthur, the era of Arthur Wiki I was part of (as dysfunctional as it could be sometimes) is still over, so I think it's time I moved on.
For what it's worth, you can still talk to me, I just won't be actively here. I think if I were to do any editing for Arthur at …
With the debut of Season 24 of last week on PBS, there has been quite a bit of online chatter regarding the future of the show. Below I will cite evidence that suggests that the show as we know it will be ending with its 25th season.
Two main sources indicate the most recent animation contract for the show:
- June 4, 2018: Animation Magazine reports that Oasis Animation announced a deal with PBS/WGBH for animating seasons 22-25 of .
Season 8 episode 2b "Thanks a lot Binky' I mean, its a wonderful life parody, what can I say about it.
Season 14 episode 5a "Tales of Grotesquely Grim Bunny" Like episodes in season 13 and 14, they are just boring. Lack luster. Arthur dislikes the new comic shop, and hates a new comic that sounded pretty good. maybe the book should have been Bionic Bunny: Red Son
Season 13 episode 9b "The Pride of Lakewood" Fine and all, but put into my most disliked season of Arthur (besides the new seasons) and Buster leads a new revolution in the school, third wave style. Fine, I would re-watch in all, But I would avoid season 13
Season 10 episode 4b "Family Fortune" They look threw the past for money like they do on antic roadshow, Why remake something borin…
I know this has been discussed with many others but who can blame each other, it is a poorly written episode which could've easily get the three lessons tackled. Here's the problems with the episode:
- DW getting away scott-free: Getting hit is NOT an excuse, what DW did was wrong as well; Respect others' property and it's very rude to disobey others, yes Arthur and DW are children but age doesn't matter! DW is also old enough to understand no means no!
- Favortism: I hate Jane and David Read even more than DW! I know what all of you are gonna say: "Poggleface they're not picking favorites!" And "Poggleface they DO punish DW!". Well guess what I don't even care at all at this point! It LOOKED like they favoring DW over Arthur and Kate, they don't…
I was never a huge fan of this episode because:
Arthur's parents were very unfair to Arthur. Camp means so much to him and they made Arthur and DW eat lobster I don't even think if kids would like to eat lobster. Wouldn't kill David and Jane to go to the stupid beach without bringing Arthur, DW and Kate I don't care if it's a family vacation! They could've have Grandma Thora babysit DW and Kate and pick up Arthur once he's finished camping! I also like to point out that parents never take their kids on vacation because adults are the ones working, paying to go on a plane will be so expensive and all a parent wants to do is get away from their kids for a while and they Don't bring kids to fancy restaurants because children are forbidden to eat at…
Family Vacation Adventure: This is the episode which my cause controversy but I'm going to explain it anyways why? I thought Jane and David were pretty unfair in this episode. How are they unfair you may ask? They won't let Arthur go to camp. I get they just wanted to spend time together as a family but they could've waited until Arthur is finished with summer camp or drop DW and Kate off at Grandma Thora's, let Arthur go to camp and the two Read parents can have adult time at the stupid beach all by themselves because let's face it parents never take their kids anywhere other than school, shopping or your grandparents' house.
Revenge of the chip: I hated Jane so much. Yes parents can accidentally embarrassed their kids but it LOOKED like …
I hated these characters so much and I'll be ranking them and I will explain my reasons
6: DW: She's low on the list because there are characters worse than her and her brattiness wasn't entirely her fault. I don't like the way she viewed Arthur as the Disappointing Older Sibling, putting his confidence down and outright bully him. Even worse their parents (which I will get to later) ALWAYS side with her, never punish her and always spoil her.
5: Tibble Twins: They're in my opinion worse than DW and they thought it was a good idea to hit her with a swing because they got their heads stuck La La Turboland. And Tommy ate Bud's cupcake.
4: Cousin Cora: She's older than DW and she is more bratty than her and she never gotten punished for her DW b…
I think one of the strengths of Arthur as a series is its attention to detail regarding events in the canonical timeline. There are so many references to previous events in episodes, some of which are just fun call-backs (like mentioning when Buster "saved" a cat from a tree), and others are full-on major plot points ("Return of the Snowball" is the sequel to the mystery of D.W.'s missing snowball).
With the debut of the new holiday special "An Arthur Thanksgiving" this week, I've been seeing a lot of commentary online about when the special takes place within the series timeline. I believe it's pretty cut-and-dried: it's still Arthur's third grade. But, others are saying otherwise. I think this is mainly confusing because of its subsequent r…
Hey there. I'm Arthur Read fan. Some of you may remember me as a former admin of this wiki until late August 2020.
After some thought for the last week or so, I ultimately decided to come out of retirement and return to Arthur Wiki for a few reasons, which I will explain in this blog post.
First Reason: The truth is, I didn't 100% want to leave from here in the first place, but I had to for various reasons, mostly personal. My feelings towards the newer episodes/specials since and including Season 20 plus the stress I was having both here and in real life just made me feel a sense of dread coming here, and I had to make the difficult decision to step down from my admin position back in August 2020. Now that I've been away from this wiki for …
Below is a link to a big project I have been working on: 24 years of broadcast data for ARTHUR on PBS! How many times has your favorite episode aired? What is the most frequently aired episode? When was the last time a Lance Armstrong episode aired nationally? Does "Arthur's New Year's Eve" air every Dec. 31st? The answers to these questions can be found by clicking below.
Please contact me if you have a question or suggestion for this spreadsheet!

The studio of Arthur replaced Baby Kate Crying sound effect by a different crying sound effect for Kate and other babies in this episode. I wish Baby Kate crying sound effect was in Arthur’s Baby like in Arthur media.
Today, the FANDOM Arthur Wiki has reached 5000 total pages! This is an impressive accomplishment, and I would like to thank all of our editors for helping us reach this goal.
Ever since season 4, having 10 episodes, each with 2 segments, is the norm for the show. This allows the show makers to pump out seasons quickly, at least once a year. However, in recent years, the episode count has gotten lower, with season 23 having a grand total of THREE episodes. I think seasons with low episode counts are reserved for streaming, not broadcast television.
So here are my ideal seasons of Arthur.
Season 4 and Season 5 are combined to become season 4.
Season 6 and Season 7 are combined to become season 5.
Season 8 and Season 9 are combined to become season 6.
Season 10 and Season 11 are combined to become season 7.
Season 12 and Season 13 are combined to become season 8.
Season 14 and Season 15 are combined to become season 9.
After thinking this over for a while and looking around the site, I've come to a decision regarding what I'll do here. As some of you might have noticed recently, I've made hints this will be my last year running this site and those hints are indeed true.
You probably haven't seen me around as much and I don't want to say I haven't been around. I always watch the site from the background to make sure nothing is going on. With that said, ten years on this site has been a journey. Many users have come and gone here, the founder of this wiki was gone before I even joined or considered joining here.
I'd like to thank the following individuals who I've had the privilege of working with. Annawantimes, Jacksonian, Orion001, 5000 Explosions and a Su…
Hey there. This is Arthur Read fan.
First of all, I want to say that I'm very thankful to have met some great users on this wiki, like Scrooge200, DJ MC CJ, WillTheArthurandBusterFan5050, CaillouFan, BrutalBear98, and some other users too. It's been a pleasure working with all of you.
But unfortunately, since early June of this year (2020), I haven't really been enjoying coming to this wiki, and it's been increasing with time.
This blog post will detail the two main reasons why I've decided to leave Arthur Wiki on FANDOM in the near future, including my administrator position, and move on to other projects on other FANDOM wikis.
Coming here to this wiki for the last couple of months has been really stressful for me, which is not a good thing. …
That concludes this month's newsletter. I hope you enjoyed reading it, as well as the other newsletters in the past several months if you've read them.
Unfortunately, though, all good things must come to an end, as this will be the final issue of The Arthur Wiki Newsletter. Why? Because pretty soon, I will be stepping down as an administrator of Arthur Wiki for reasons that I will explain in a separate blog post, which will be releasing on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. I was going to list the reasons why I'll be stepping down in this newsletter, but the reasons are a little lengthy and I just felt that it would be more fitting and appropriate to discuss them in a separate blog post.
But thanks for reading these newsletters anyways. It sure has …
I don't know what happened to Arthur season 22 in the UK, but they're now on the BBC iPlayer. I don't know if they've been suddenly on the for past week, because I've got a busted TV, so I would've completely missed out on that. It says it's been there for over a year, so I don't know what's gone on there. Maybe they were put on exclusively on the BBC iPlayer website, even though the iPlayer can be accessed on TV.
Today, the official Arthur YouTube channel released a video called "ARTHUR on Racism: Talk, Listen, and Act." It's also available on the Arthur website. The video is dedicated to John Lewis, and features Arthur, Buster, and Mrs. MacGrady talking about how to fight against racism.
Hello. This is CaillouFan. I am just wondering if anybody noticed a reference to Arthur Read in one of the shows I watching tonight? This is because while I was Nickelodeon's Unfiltered (episode name: Zombies Eat Unicorns!) at 8:30 PM today on Nickelodeon (my time is in EST). I saw that one of the people at the end of the episode were wearing ears that looked like Arthur Read’s ears. Did anyone else notice this also? Thank you.
The official Arthur game "Waldo Loves Muffy" has been taken down. Its page now leads to a 404, and it isn't listed on the Games page or the Find page anymore. I played the game a few months ago, and no other games have been taken down.
Does anyone know why Waldo Loves Muffy could've been taken down? Was this accidental or on purpose?
The game's files still remain on the live web, but who knows for how long.
July 23rd update: The game has returned on the site! I have no idea why it disappeared in the first place, but I'm glad it's up again now.

Although I like Arthur and have a few favorite episodes and this is one of the best cartoons I've ever seen, like with virtually all other cartoons and other TV shows, this cartoon has episodes I don't like or find offensive. This blog will list my most disliked Arthur episodes to the best of my knowledge and memory and reasons why I don't like them, though some reasons may seem trivial to many of you. I'll also list episodes that I don't exactly dislike but are hard for me to watch. I will not list the episodes in the order I hate them, I'm just going to randomly list episodes.
Note: May include spoilers if you haven't already seen these episodes yet, so if you don't want anything spoiled, watch the episodes first before reading this blog. …
Well, it looks like we are getting close 5,000 articles! Right now, we have pages! Keep on editing everyone and making new pages! CaillouFan (talk) - I love the TV show Caillou. 11:20, May 25, 2020 (UTC)
Two lessons from the episode: Two wrongs don't make a right. (From VeggieTales Rack, Shack and Benny) Handling Peer Pressure. Don't do something that you know is wrong. Don't force others to do something they disagreed with or believe is wrong.
- Molly making Binky hitting Arthur, which is wrong. (Don't force others to do something they disagreed with or believe is wrong.)
- Arthur being wrong, and D.W. being wrong.
- Arthur punching D.W.
- D.W. recking Arthur's model plane.
I have some episodes of Arthur that are not my favourite.
- Locked in the Library!
- Arthur Accused!
- Desk Wars
Hi, everybody. Today, the Emmys have announced their nominees for the 47th Annual Daytime Awards (see them here). Arthur is a nominee for Outstanding Children's Animated Series, along with Craig of the Creek, The Dragon Prince, The Loud House, Niko and the Sword of Light, and Trolls: The Beat Goes On! I'm glad to see Arthur still appreciated after all these years.
What do you think? Will Arthur win? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
I would like to share a few episode ideas for my favorite and relatable character Carl Gould
Two of these ideas I think you'll really like and would probably agree with and one that's more for me than anyone else, that one I will share last. One of the episode ideas I have may have already been an idea by many, wait and see what that one is, and one I just recently came up with after watching another Arthur episode.
So these are my ideas:
Carl Episode Idea 1: Carl and George Write A Story. I recently thought of this episode idea after watching "The Director's Cut" https://arthur.fandom.com/wiki/The_Director's_Cut and learned that George likes to make up stories. I mean true Fern is a story writer but I was thinking George could write a story …
No, no talk of railroad crossings nor a plea to get Demetre added to the show!
1. So I was just watching "Arthur Plays the Blues" and had been noticing how nitpicky Dr. Fredrick Fugue can be, especially when it comes to music. I then started to wonder, "What if Dr. Fugue has autism?"
It's highly likely he does not. Not saying he does, not saying he doesnt! But he really has an ear for music and seems to like music a certain way, or has rather high standards for it just like I have high standards for some things or else I won't be satisfied and wish things were a certain way. But after hearing Arthur's family car horn, he commented that it needed to be tuned. Then Arthur said Dr. Fugue's bird "doesn't sing good enough for him." And he's reall…

Recently, PBS Kids released a video that's a song about washing your hands mixed with live-action footage and Arthur clips. Most of these clips are from episodes that are already out, like "Opposites Distract," "Arthur Read: Super Saver," "The Last Tough Customer," and "Muffy Misses Out." However, some never-before-seen footage includes shots from episodes or specials that aren't released yet.
Are these just original clips made for the video? That's a possibility, but I'm really interested as to why so many of them look like "Arthur - It's Only Rock 'n' Roll." Could this be a remaster of said special? A sequel? When will we get official confirmation? I think it might be worth looking at TV schedules and the PBS Kids/Arthur social media for …

Hi there, everyone on Arthur Wiki. This is Arthur Read fan.
I have an important announcement. In the near future, FANDOM is going to be introducing a new version of Message Wall, which will likely replace the existing version we use on here. This is going to be part of a FANDOM-wide update, and the new version of Message Wall will be slightly different than what we're used to, as it will remove WikiText as a feature.
I don't know how many users use WikiText when posting messages on the Message Wall, but I wanted to put the word out there in case if people on here do use that feature.
As I said a little earlier in my post, this is part of a FANDOM-wide update. It is known as the Unified Community Platform. There will also be some other user pr…
We have completed our plan to split off Wikia. The independent Grifkuba-hosted wiki can be found here, at arthurwiki.com. Please create an account there and continue editing if you wish. A big thanks to everyone who supported this idea, and to the Grifkuba staff, who helped make this happen!
This is not a drill. Revealed at this year's New York Toy Fair, they are doing Funko Pops of Arthur and DW! This is exciting news. I'll be getting these for sure. They come out in June.
This blog is for Arthur screencap images that I wish to add to the internet, including to this wikia. Please note, these screencaps are not for the character or episode pages, well some of them may be but not all of them are and I'll show you why.
But this is mostly for my use, especially to serve as sources for fanart, well not just for me but for anyone who wishes to use them.
I will also put some of these on my profile page. May even post some of this on Deviant Art and on the Arthur Fanon Wiki website https://arthur-fanon.fandom.com/wiki/Arthur_fanon_Wiki
Enough jibbering, let's start showing pictures.
I have had this idea of a community proposal for a while: moving Arthur Wiki off Wikia. I have found a host willing to make this happen, Grifkuba. They have hosted various wikis for 10 years, such as WiKirby, Fire Emblem, and WikiBound.
This is a very big leap for the wiki and will improve it for the community. There are many advantages to having a self-hosted domain:
- Decisions will be made as a community, instead of being made by Fandom with us having no say.
- The Wikipedia-style layout allows for less adspace and more flexibility in design.
- All content from the Wikia site, including articles, images, and categories, will be moved to the new wiki.
- The new site will be more of a "wiki" than a "fandom," with the removal of social media-esque feat…
I am so happy they finally put a railroad crossing on this cartoon! I have waited so many years for this, even before 2014 when I first wrote my letters to W.G.B.H., 9 Story Entertainment, and later Oasis Animation when I heard they were taking over in lieu of 9 Story. And I did get some replies back talking about such. I also sent illustrations to help, well admittedly influence, the physical appearance(s) of the railroad crossings that happened to appear on Arthur. Now I don't have to dream anymore! Okay I kind of still do, I'll explain later!
The crossing, featured in "Rhythm and Roots of Arthur" https://arthur.fandom.com/wiki/The_Rhythm_and_Roots_of_Arthur, had some of what I wanted, a red and white crossing gate and flashing lights. Wh…
So, just for fun, I thought I'd play through some of the Arthur games on the PBS Kids website and rank them on my rating scale: Vomitrocious, Bad, Okay, Good, Great. I won't be playing Music Box, Scoop!, Binky's Story Scramble, or D.W.'s Art Studio as they don't run on my computer, nor will I play Global Gizmo because it doesn't work. This review won't include the various activities like Elwingo, but it will include the Postcards from Buster games. I will rank the games at the end, based on how much I enjoyed playing them.
- 1 About Face
- 2 Alien: Assembly Required
- 3 Animal Home Builder

Season 5 was a very mediocre season, having no great or vomitrocious episodes. Will Season 6 prove to be more exciting?
I will rate each episode on a scale from Vomitrocious, Bad, Okay, Good, Great. At the end of my review, I'll count up how many of each rating there are in the season, and give it a rating as a whole, alongside ranking every episode in the season from best to worst.

I've done multiple season and special reviews and I want to keep them all in one place. Here's an index of all the reviews I've wrote. I will update this accordingly.

- Arthur's Perfect Christmas Review
Arthur has a few hour-long specials that usually aired as part of a respective season. Arthur's Perfect Christmas is the very first one of these, airing during Season 5. And since I've just finished reviewing Season 5, I'll do this before starting my Season 6 Review.
I'll rate this special on my scale of Vomitrocious, Bad, Okay, Good, Great. Is this special as "perfect" as Arthur's Christmas?
So, this special doesn't really feel like a special. There's nothing too unique or different here (besides the fact that there's a pee joke). I mean, this is a Christmas-themed episode, but we've already had a few winter episodes and references to Christmas. It doesn't involve too many new characters and it still has the annoying exaggeration of the firs…
