"Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella" is track 21 of the album Arthur's Perfect Christmas. It is a traditional, if somewhat obscure, Christmas carol. It is performed by Jane Read, David Read and other caroler friends. The song is performed in French. A brief portion of the song's instrumental can be heard within the Arthur's Perfect Christmas special itself when Arthur is complaining about D.W.'s unusual decorations on the Read family Christmas tree and Mr. Read tells him to come on or they'll be late for church. It also plays when Muffy visits Brain's family's ice cream shop and learns about Kwanzaa.

Un flambeau, Jeannette, Isabella
Un flambeau, courons au berceau
C'est Jésus, bonnes gens du hameau
Le Christ est né, Marie appelle
Ah.Ah.Ah. Que la Mère est belle
Ah.Ah.Ah. Que l'Enfant est beau

C'est un tort quand l'Enfant sommeille
C'est un tort de crier si fort
Taisez-vous, l'un es l'autre, d'abord
Au moindre bruit, Jésus s'éveille
Chut. Chut. Chut. Il dort à merveille
Chut. Chut. Chut. Voyez comme il dort

Doucement, dans l'étable close
Doucement, venez un moment
Approchez, que Jésus est charmant
Do. Do. Do. Que l'Enfant repose
Do. Do. Do. Qu'il rit en dormant.

Bring a torch, Jeannette, Isabella
Bring a torch, to the cradle run
It is Jesus, good folk of the village
Christ is born, Mary is calling
Ah.Ah.Ah. Beautiful is the Mother
Ah.Ah.Ah. Beautiful is her Son

You should not shout when the Child is sleeping
You should not shout so loudly
Quiet all, as you gather around
The slightest noise will waken Jesus
Hush. Hush. Hush. He sleeps beautifully
Hush. Hush. Hush. Watch how He dreams

Softly within the little stable
Softly gather around
Look and see how sweet is Jesus
How fair He is, how rosy His cheeks
Hush. Hush. Hush. See how the child is sleeping
Hush. Hush. Hush. See how He smiles in His dreams
