Button Island ("D.W.'s Baby")
Button Island is a small island in Bear Lake. According to Arthur, it is "the nearest island." D.W. asks Grandma Thora to take her there so that she can "live with the monkeys." Thora rents a rowboat and starts rowing her granddaughter to the island, but halfway there, she convinces D.W. that Baby Kate needs a big sister; D.W. decides not to live on the island and to return home.
In D.W., Go to Your Room!, she again threatens, to herself at least, to go live on Button Island and starts packing her stuff, but she is interrupted when Mrs. Read asks her to look after Baby Kate, leading her to complain that she's being asked to "baby-sit the enemy."
