"D.W. & Bud's Higher Purpose" is the second half of the first episode in the eighteenth season of Arthur.
Summary
D.W. and Bud can't wait to ride "The Buzzard," Wonder World's newest rollercoaster. Will they make it past the persnickety ticket taker...or will they come up short?[3]
Plot
Dad takes Arthur, D.W., Ladonna, and Bud to the amusement park. D.W. and Bud want to ride the Buzzard, but there's a ticket taker who wouldn't let them because they're too short. They try to get there, but to no success. After a while, they ticket taker decides to let them in. That's when they find out from James that it's scary. They break the pact, and eventually, they get off the ride. All this time, Dad has been giving out advice to someone on the phone. D.W. and Bud then decide to get on the Bumpy Boot as the episode ends.
