Countess D.W. Bantam[1] was the mother of Lord Binkford Bantam, the lord of Fountain Abbey in the early 20th century .
History[]
Lady Bantam was a stern old lady who was at first dismissive of her housemaid Mary Alice's plans to raise money, even though the Bantams were broke. Eventually, the Bantams got rich by selling Fountain Abbey and Lady Bantam travelled to America with Mary Alice.
