The Elwood City Police Department (ECPD) is the principal law enforcement agency of Elwood City.

The ECPD are often seen during dreams and daydreams completing an unusual task that would not necessarily be considered illegal. They are rarely seen throughout the city apprehending criminals and stopping crime. In several episodes, however, a background noise can be identified as a police siren.
In "Buster's Amish Mismatch," Arthur said that Mr. Ratburn's class had a field trip here and Buster accidentally stole a detective's badge.
The time jump at the end of "All Grown Up" reveals that D.W. would become a member of the Elwood City police force as a traffic cop.
