Don't Wake Kate! is a game on the Arthur page of the PBS Kids website. According to the original "Parents and Teachers" section of the site, it was created to teach sighted children what it's like to be blind. In October 2018, the game was remastered, changing formats from Adobe Flash to HTML5.
Gameplay[]
In this game, D.W. is going out of her bed to get a glass of water. The game has a 5x5 grid of squares, with D.W. at the top left and water at the bottom right. D.W. can move one square at a time, either horizontally or vertically. She must avoid stepping on toys, which will send her back to the top left. If D.W. reaches the water, she will gain a point to her score and go back to the start. However, the more glasses of water D.W. gets, the more toys there will be. If D.W. steps on ten toys, Kate will wake up and the game will restart. If D.W. gets nine glasses of water, the player will win the game.
