Sonja Ball (born October 20, 1956) is a Canadian voice actress who voiced Jane Read, whom she has voiced since the beginning of the Arthur series. She also voiced Miss Sweetwater, Quackers, the toy that D.W. gets for Christmas in Arthur's Perfect Christmas, Jane's sister Lucy in the episode D.W. Thinks Big, and Huckle Bat in Attack of the Turbo Tibbles (based off Huckle Cat, a character she voiced in The Busy World of Richard Scarry). Sonja voiced Ms. McWord in The Scare-Your-Pants-Off Club and The Fright Stuff, the Teenager's Mom in Bleep, and the Motorloco L-17 GPS in Buster's Carpool Catastrophe. She also has done the voice over for the funding credits for the show ever since 1998, until she was succeeded by Daniel Brochu around season 16.
Her other works include Mrs. Martha Moppet (Lulu's Mom), Mrs. Van Snobbe (Wilbur's Mom) and Mrs. Wriggly in The Little Lulu Show.
