The Elwood City Community Center (or Elwood City Cultural Center[1]) is a place in Elwood City that hosts activities and events for people of all ages. This is where the city's centennial celebration takes place, including the Lakewood school play, "Oh Elwood."[2] There is a number of classes to take, like the woodworking class that George's father teaches. As revealed in the episode "Popular Girls," Mr. Ratburn also runs a day camp where the kids actually had fun. In the same episode Mr. Ratburn even does karate lessons there too. George's friend Carl who debuted in the episode "When Carl Met George" states he attends the community center weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There is also a place where kids can also read or play puzzles too. Mrs. Molina teaches a dance class at the community center as seen in the episode "Dancing Fools" where Francine, George, and Muffy were part of many kids that were in the class. When the show Treasure Caravan came to Elwood City, it was in the community center.
