1406a Salamanca

Juan-Carlos Salamanca was an Ecuadorian soccer player who is mentioned in "Follow the Bouncing Ball". During a match against Uruguay in 1959, he shot a ball against the goalpost which bounced back against his chest and into the goal, thus winning the game for Ecuador. He later perfected the move and became known as El Boomerang.

Alberto Molina once got a soccer ball from his grandfather signed by Salamanca. He calls the ball El Boomerang.

Trivia[]
