Is it true that you're not going to do anymore artwork of Demetre?
Because when that scenario happened to you on DeviantArt, you said that we won't be seeing any more artwork of Demetre Adams, because of what happened.
I was asking because when you said that, I wasn't sure if I should still do my Arthur fanon about Demetre meeting George and Carl or not. I know I said I was planning on releasing the fanon this month, and I still hope to do so, but if you don't want me to, then I will respect your feelings and delay the release for the time being.
That whole thing has been called off. I will continue to use DA. Rather not talk about what happened for emotional and psychological purposes (I know that's avoidance but I'm trying to recover from that. May talk more about it later.)
I will continue doing artwork of Demetre and other fanart. And there is no need to delay the release. I still would like to see it.
I am not going anywhere and not letting the trolls win!
I saw what you said on your latest status post on Deviant Art, about a problematic user, User:TangledVarian4Eves. I blocked her from here for good after she tried to say bad things about you on your wall for blocking her from your Deviant Art account.
Actually I forgave her. It's your choice if you do or not but can you please unblock her. She's really sorry about what she did (she asked me to ask you. I don't normally do this for anyone and usually encourage people to talk themselves to other people rather thsn involve me but I made this exception.)
I'm not doing all that well and admittedly much of it is my own fault, it's not all TangledVarian4Eves fault. It's such a shame more leaked about me than I tended everyone to know, including my last name and my picture! That wasn't TangledVarian4Eves' fault that was somebody else's!
I'm thinking of taking a long hiatus from the internet. True I said I was going to leave altogether and never come back but I don't really want to.
But, if you want to, can you re welcome TangledVarian4Eves back please? I respect your decision if you don't.
I will unblock TangledVarian4Eves. I'm one to give others second chances.
That's part of the reason why I really like the episode "Based on a True Story," is because of its moral of giving others second chances, even when they don't deserve it.
It is unfortunate to hear that all of that happened to you, though. Sometimes, taking a break for a while is the best thing to do. I mean, you left FANDOM back in December 2017 because of an altercation with another admin on another wiki, but you eventually came back.
I don't think you should leave permanently, but I respect whatever decision you make. You can take a break for as long as you wish.
I'm feeling better for now but I don't know for how long, I was out today and was busy, had to do some shopping, then I cooked when I got back home. So I may be getting tired, plus it's raining out and the weather hasn't been so good (I mean I like cloudy and rainy weather but that can cause sickness.)
Congratulations on being an admin!
I'm not going to leave Arthur Wiki completely, in fact, I know how to use fandom better than the other site. And I added more pictures to my profile page including more of Carl and Demetre!
I've seen your new artwork / screenshots you uploaded. And yeah, I like FANDOM's layout slightly better than Grifkuba's too. But I've been contributing to both sites daily.
Speaking of FANDOM, there are going to be a few major changes coming in the near future to FANDOM. Since Wednesday, March 11, 2020, all new wikis are now being created on a new platform known as the UCP, which stands for Unified Community Platform, and in the near future, all existing wikis will be moving to the platform, including this one.
Another change as part of the move to the UCP platform will be the editing software, which will be moving to the 2017 MediaWiki editor from the current editor, which dates back to 2010, for both Classic Source Editor (which is my preferred editor) and the Visual Editor. But the editing is 99% the same as it is currently, so there's not too much to worry about in that department.
Another change will be the user profiles. All user profile icons (also known as avatars) will be circular shaped across all wikis, instead of select ones. Message Wall is also going to get some changes. If you want to know more about these upcoming changes to FANDOM, I recommend reading my user blog post that I posted on here about these changes, which you can read here: User blog:Arthur Read fan/FANDOM updating Message Walls, among other things
Sorry if I bored you with details. I just wanted to prepare you in advance for these changes that the FANDOM staff will be making across all wikis.
I have good news: YOUR IDEA MADE IT INTO AN ARTHUR EPISODE!!!
No kidding. In "The Rhythm and Roots of Arthur", in the first song
that occurs around the 9-11 minute period, A RAILROAD CROSSING APPEARS!!!
Just like you wanted it, with the red and white gates!
I know this is something you've been wanting for a very long time,
and you even sent an email to 9 Story back in 2014 about it, so I
wanted to be the bearer of good news and tell you about it!
If anyone else is reading this, you can go to the PBS Kids Arthur
page and watch the special NOW!
I hope you have a wonderful kind of day, Will, especially after hearing
that your idea made it after more than 5 years!
-Arthur Read fan
(PS: The birthday isn't a primary part of the special, it's only a
side note. If you still don't feel comfortable with seeing it, Will, then
you don't have to watch it, okay? The part where the Railroad Crossing
appears is LONG before part with the birthday, at least a half an hour before.)
Hi, Will. It's me, Arthur Read fan. Now that "The Rhythm and Roots
of Arthur" has come out, I decided to restore this thread.
I happened to see your message to me on my message wall on Community Central, but I decided that we would just talk about that on
here. Hope that's okay with you.
But anyways, here's the whole story about how that had happened
in the first place (how I saw the special on January 17, 2020
at around 2:00AM on the Arthur website at pbskids.org; I
also told Scrooge200 and Caesar (DJ MC CJ) about this):
Early in the morning, around nearly 2:00AM, just for giggles, I
decided to check the Arthur website to see what new videos
they had up. In the back of my head, I had briefly thought to
myself, "Wouldn't it be funny if they had the special up now?"
But you could probably imagine my excitement when I saw that they
had put up the video on the site. I even got to watch the entire
video! One of the parts that excited me the most about it was, well,
see the above message on this thread.
But then, after I had seen "The Rhythm and Roots of Arthur" on the Arthur website, and then told you about the Railroad Crossing,
I had gone to bed, and then, the next morning, I checked the website
again. But when I checked it this particular time, the special was
GONE! Nowhere to be seen.
After talking to Scrooge200 and Caesar about what had happened, I
decided to just remove this thread temporarily, because what I had
seen was most likely an accidental leak on PBS' part.
But now, since the video is back up on the site as of today, I
decided to restore this thread.
And since another user on here, PrettyCoolStairs, was uploading
screenshots from the special, I asked him if he could do me a
favor, by uploading a screenshot of the Railroad Crossing that
appears in the special. And he did! I also made sure to thank him,
since this is something you're interested in.
Want to see the screenshot of the Railroad Crossing? Here it is:
I was just so excited to see this when I first saw the episode,
so I really, really, really wanted to tell you about it!
I know that this is something you've been wanting to see happen
for a long, long time, and you've also sent emails and letters
to the Arthur crew at WGBH and 9 Story Media Group about this
idea in the past, so I was just so happy to see that your idea
finally made it!
Sorry if this message is really long. I just wanted to recap all
of the events of how I saw the special, and the Railroad Crossing,
and how I told you about it. I hope you have a wonderful kind of
No problem on the long message, in fact it wasn't that long and I've left longer messages than this as you've seen!
I was waiting for this message to come back, I mean I thought the admins removed the thread and I did want it restored but I didn't want to say anything about it. Now I hear you tell me you removed it and restored it. Either way I'm glad I kept my mouth shut to you on this wikia (as you know I spoke about it on Community Central, and it's cool that we talk here instead.) I was also waiting for this topic to come up. I was also gone for hours, busy with other things.
I finally saw the special! I thought I'd have to wait about 24 hours for it to come back but after midnight I tried the PBS kids website again and the full video was there and I watched it! And I am happy that my idea made it into Arthur! I'd like to talk a little more about that but not here, not on your message wall, I'm going to write a blog about it in just a little bit.
Thanks for the screencap too, I also made my own screencaps but I guess since someone already made them there's no need for me to. But that's okay because I have a couple other places to post them, on another wiki and on Deviant Art.
Alright better wrap this up before I go overboard like I usually do!
I read your blog post, but I didn't really feel like leaving
a comment on it.
However, I will say on here that I do think you should send the Arthur crew a "Thank You" letter / email, although I'm not
sure if they will respond back or not. But it couldn't hurt to
at least make an attempt, right?
Also, you're welcome about me telling you about the Railroad
Crossing. I think it was a good design, even if you think otherwise
(I didn't say that to be mean or sound mean, by the way; I was only
stating my thoughts, so please don't take what I said the wrong
Once again, I'm glad that your idea made it into an Arthur
episode. I hope you have a wonderful kind of day!
I just got your message. Thanks for reaching out to me and for thinking of me too ^_^! As for me, I'm just dealing with a few personal matters right now, rather not get into it, except for this, I'm still dealing with OCD and that impedes me and it's debilitating! And I'm a little emotionally shakey. But other than that I'm fine.
I was just given rollback rights by DJ MC CJ (aka Caesar)
a few moments ago at the time of this writing, so now, I'll
be helping out even more on here (I've already been contributing
every day since I first joined, by the way).
I have also started writing blog posts (I changed my mind about
writing them since we last talked a while back), including
Arthur Fanfictions. I've already written one back in November,
but I know and respect that you probably wouldn't want to read it
(It's an Arthur Thanksgiving Fanfiction), so you don't have to read it
if you don't want to.
While I'm on the subject of Arthur Fanfictions, since I write Arthur Fanfictions now, I was wondering if I could have your permission to use
your Arthur O.C., Demetre Adams, in an Arthur Fanfiction that I would like to release in April. Why I would like my story to have an April release date is because in April 2020, it will have been 10 whole years since Carl first appeared on Arthur, and April is also Autism Awareness Month. Since Demetre also has autism, I was wondering if he could be
included in the story, too. If you don't want me to include him,
that's totally okay! I'll let you decide.
YES, you can use Demetre in your fanfiction! I would be delighted!
I mean I should write about him first but you go right ahead, don't wait for me, who knows when I'll ever get around to writing my own fanfic with Demetre in it?!
Please let me know when it's finished I would like to read it! :D
Of course! I'll be sure to let you know! As I said, I plan to
release my Arthur Fanfiction in April 2020; the working title
I have for my story is: "When George and Carl Met Demetre: An
ARTHUR Fanfiction". It will also include a Railroad Crossing,
and it will also include Arthur and the others in there, too!
My story still needs to be fully written, though; I expect it
will probably be a 5-chapter story.
But thanks again for giving me the "okay" to use Demetre in my
Arthur Fanfiction! You'll really enjoy it when I eventually
release it. Until then, though, have a wonderful kind of
An idea I just came up with for the Arthur characters. Writing this while I still remember how it goes and before I forget.
Solo Singers: Francine Frensky, Binky Barnes, Alan "Brain" Powers, Arthur Read, Buster Baxter, Sue Ellen Armstrong, and George Lundgren
Additional Voices: Muffy Crosswire, Fern Walters, Jenna Morgan, Maria Pappas, Alex
Francine: From a distance, the world looks blue and green. And the snow capped mountain is white.
Binky: From a distance, the ocean meets the stream.
Francine and Binky: And the eagle takes to flight!
All kids: From a distance, there is harmony. And it echoes through the land.
Francine: It's the voice of hope. It's the voice of peace. It's the voice of every man.
Brain: From a distance, we all have enough. And no one is in need.
Arthur: And there are no guns. No bombs and no disease.
Buster: No hungry mouths to feed.
All kids: From a distance, we are instruments, marching in a common band.
Francine: Playing songs of hope. Playing songs of peace. They're the songs of every man.
All Kids: God is watching us. God is watching us. God is watching us, from a distance.
Sue Ellen: From a distance, you look like my friend, even though we are at war.
George: From a distance, I just cannot comprehend, what all this fighting is for.
All Kids: From a distance, there is harmony. And it echoes through the land.
Francine: It's the hope of hope. It's the love of love. It's the heart of every man!
All other Kids: Every man!
Francine, Binky, George, Brain, Arthur, Buster, Sue Ellen, and Muddy: It's the hope of hope. It's the love of love. This is the song, for every man!
All Kids: And God is watching us. God is watching us. God is watching us, from a distance! Oh God is watching us, God is watching.
Francine: God is watching us.
All Kids: From a distance.
This is just one idea I have for this song using the Arthur characters. This might not be my final draft, I may switch out some characters. But i wanted to write this while I still had the ideas.
I decided to make Francine the lead singer of this song since she's the best singer of her classmates. Had Buster do "No hungry mouths to feed" since he likes food. Had Sue Ellen do "...you look like my friend even though..." because of her international pin pal, Tenzen. And I decided to have George do "I just cannot comprehend what all this fighting is for," because of his love for peace, or so I think that's what he has. I mean during Desk Wars he didn't understand all the fighting that occurred among his class. Well, he said to his classmates that they make a big deal out of everything. And in that episode Do You Speak George? George really let it out, telling that it was better when everyone understood each other. George seems to not understand or see a reason why others do certain things but does seem to know how to restore order! I was originally going to have Fern do it but I gave the line to George instead. Much of the rest was random.
Some of this was inspired by the episode Tipping the Scales. And that's why I had Binky do the second line, and then had him and Francine sing together.
I also like Paw Patrol, Go Diego Go, Dora the Exploe, and Dora in the City to name a few more, but I think currently Bubble Guppies is my most favorite of them all. Oh, I do like Franklin and Little Bear and Toot and Puddle.
