Mike Fincke is an astronaut from NASA who appears as a guest star in the episode "Buster Spaces Out" voiced by himself. The kids meet him in the Sugar Bowl, when they are about to give up building a R-1 Model Rocket after accidentally destroying its parachute. Mike introduces himself as an astronaut and former commander of the International Space Station and tells them of his first space walk, when the ground crew noticed a defect in his space suit causing him to lose oxygen rapidly. He got back into the ISS and the crew worked together and came up with a solution. He tells the kids to do the same.
When the kids launch their rocket, it flies out of the Crosswire yard and is retrieved by Mike Fincke, who happens to be passing by. Buster invites him to join his first flight to Venus, once he has become an astronaut himself.
