Mr. Saperstein is a resident of Westboro Apartments. He lives in apartment number 237 with his wife, Ethel.
In "Arthur and the Haunted Treehouse" the Sapersteins play a prank on Francine. Mrs. Saperstein tell Francine a story of how she was attacked and possibly killed by a golem when she was a young girl. Then she drops a photograph in Francine's candy bag and when Francine comes back to return it, Mr. Saperstein claims that Ethel is his sister who disappeared as a child.
Mr. Saperstein later attends a Halloween party dressed as a golem which suggests that the photograph Ethel used to fool Francine is actually him.
