Ms. O'Breean[1] (or Miss O'Brien[2]) was a servant at Fountain Abbey.
History[]
Miss O'Breean disliked Muffy’s ancestor Mary Alice Miller, believing that Mary Alice fancied herself to be better than the rest of the staff. When she saw Mary Alice help Lord Bantam with his juggling act, she became so jealous, that she gave Mary Alice a present of earrings that actually belonged to Lady Bantam. Instead of being fired, Mary Alice was promoted to manager and eventually travelled to America with Lady Bantam. Miss O’Breean joined them as Mary Alice's maid.
Physical Appearance[]
She wears black and white clothes and in Muffy's fantasy she looks very similar to Francine.
Trivia[]
- Miss O’Breean is based on the Downtown Abbey character Sarah O’Brien, Lady Grantham's scheming maid.
- Miss O’Breean shares Francine’s looks and voice actress.
- The name O’Brien is derived from the Irish Ó Briain, which is pronounced Oh-BREE-an. However, both O’Brien and O’Brian are commonly pronounced Oh-BRYE-an, and that pronunciation was used in Downton Abbey.
