The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is an American non-profit public broadcasting television service with 354 member TV stations in the United States. Funding comes from various sources, such as private donations, TV show sponsorship, and government funding.

PBS Kids is the brand for children's programming aired by PBS. Arthur has aired on PBS during the daytime children's block since its debut in 1996. As with all PBS programming, it is non-commercial.
