The Sloth is a character in the book The Very Magic Mango Tree which features in "Buenas Noches, Vicita." In the book, he is one of the animals who fall asleep after eating magic mangos. In Vicita's dream, he points her to the mango tree, but moves so slowly that she gets the direction wrong and ends up at the Kid Heaven instead.
