Fido Carnebone, known as the Dogfather, was allegedly Killer's paternal grandfather. She tells Pal about him in "Pal and the Big Itch" to keep Pal's mind off his itching leg.

According to Killer, Fido was the most feared and respected dog in the neighborhood. He sends his sons Sonny, Bobo and Mickey to help a dachshund get back his ball and gets a bone in return. Eventually, he is betrayed by his son Bobo and is cornered in a dark alley by two big dogs. Killer refuses to tell Pal how the story ends, because she realizes that he is faking his itch.

A lookalike of Vito appears in the shelter in "An Arthur Thanksgiving".

Behind the scenes[]

  • Fido Carnebone is based on Vito Corleone from the book and movie The Godfather. He resembles Marlon Brando in that role.
