- This episode aired just seven months before Hurricane Katrina made landfall.
- Hurricane Katrina made landfall near Buras, Louisiana, and Slidell, Louisiana, on August 29, 2005, and caused devastating flooding as a result of levee failures in New Orleans. The storm also made landfall near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a few days before crossing into the Gulf of Mexico and its more destructive impact on Louisiana and Mississippi.
