Republic of Türkiye is a transcontinental country in Southeastern Europe and Western Asia. Its largest city is Istanbul, which is where Adil and his family live. The inaccurate comic book Illinois Jack and the Caravan of Horrors is also set in Türkiye. The ancient Greek historian Herodotus and philosopher Diogenes of Sinope were from Halicarnassus and Sinope, respectively, which are located in the present day country.
