Winlin is a baseball player who appears in the episode "The Curse of the Grebes". He recently joined the Elwood City Grebes. According to Brain, he achieved 27 saves and an earned run average of 2.1 in the previous season.
In a fantasy, Winlin and his teammates Playmon and Batería tell Buster that he brings bad luck. In reality, they meet him in a supermarket and encourage him to come to their games. Winlin quotes Emily Dickinson's poem "Hope is the thing with feathers".
Thanks to Winlin, Playmon and Batería the Grebes finally win the world championship again after 87 years.
